Six Thinking Hats® in action at mark-making*

At Indigo we are always eager to hear from our clients after their training. The key measure of Indigo’s success is how our customers benefit from the practical use of our Creativity, Communication and Project Management training. Here is a quick example of how one of our clients applied Dr de Bono’s creativity techniques:

mark-making* are an exciting and growing brand design agency based in Oxfordshire. They have a proud and envied track record of delivering innovative communication solutions to their customers. They approached Indigo to help them maintain their creative edge. Rather than rest on their laurels, they wanted to harness the full potential of their hard working and dedicated team.

On 9th November Indigo trained them in Dr de Bono’s globally renowned Six Thinking Hats® method. The Six Thinking Hats® hit the mark (excuse the pun). It provided a structured framework to channel the groups’ energy in the same direction at the same time – leading to more creative and efficient discussions. During their training day, Indigo’s de Bono Trainer, Stephanie Butland, also used her expertise to help mark-making work through live issues with great results.

Training, with instant, tangible returns, in one day – surely not??! With the Six Thinking Hats® and Indigo it is achievable, every time.

After their training the mark-making team continued to apply the Six Thinking Hats® with great success. One of the focuses for their thinking was the Christmas card to clients and business partners.

…and the outcome?

…a highly creative and charitable Christmas initiative. We were delighted to receive the resulting Christmas card and be directed to the related website – www.jumpersforshelter.co.uk

Take a moment to look around the website – www.jumpersforshelter.co.uk . You can bid through e-bay and become the proud owner of a ‘snazzy’ Christmas jumper and one of their ‘bonus extras’. All the money raised goes to Shelter – the housing and homeless charity.

Well done Steve, Ali and the rest of mark-making* team! Now to 2011 and finding new creative opportunities to keep mark-making* ahead of the competition.
